2004 civic dx engine swap

So I'm about ready to do an engine swap on my civic. The current engine has egr and the engine I got for it doesn't. Will that be a problem. The other way I could go is buy a local si with a bad frame and switch the engine and computer over to this one. Is that possible.

Re: 2004 civic dx engine swap

just make the new engine look like the old one. so move the egr stuff over to the new engine, you will also need the primary 02 sensor from the old engine.
Less work than swapping in the SI motor, wiring, computer, etc, etc

Thats why you need to move the “spot” over to your replacement engine.

Just to rewind this a bit, did you do any prep work to the replacement engine or your just going to put it in as -is?

you have to move the related parts over as well, water passage, intake manifold + gasket, etc
again "make the new engine look like the old one"
