HX vs WRX

Well, this happened awhile ago, but it's pretty damn funny.

I went for a ride around 2AM one Friday night because I was bored. Suddenly, I find myself blinded by the headlights of a WRX tailgating me. At the next stoplight, he pulls into the left lane along side me. There are three high schoolers in the car. They all look over and the driver revs. I look in my rearview as a third car pulls up behind me. I grin and rev back. The light turns green and they take off. I accelerate normally. See the thing is...I can identify a police car by the headlights. The car behind me flips on its lights and siren. He passes me and pulls the WRX over. I drive by as the cop gets out of his car. He smiles at me and gives a thumbs up. I smile and wave as I drive by at 35mph.

I've done the same thing many times. The crown vics are easy to spot miles away... nice job tho

There is no trick. If you know the cars you do, if you don't you don't. Simple.

I can pick them out from the back, but I can't tell them apart from the front...

I've gotten to where I can spot a cop car from any angle, at any time of day, in any weather. Marked or unmarked. The only thing that is hard is distinguishing an unmarked crown vic from your grandpa if you're not to where you can see the light that is always mounted on the drivers side pillar.

Nice. Knew you couldn't win, so you decide to set up the little bastards. Too funny.

on the free way @ night is the best. dumb as$ in a mustang pulls up and pulls hard (hitting at least 90mph), sure enough there goes the cop from the car pool lane pulling him over.

in chicago, not all of the interceptor cars have the lights. all of them have a green lettered liscense plate with a M as the first letter. thats how i always spot them out, but its hard to in the dark from the rearview mirror.

Hey, that's a Massachusetts State Trooper. I see tons of them on the road I live on. I live on a state road that borders two towns. So not only do I have the state cops whizzing by all the time, but local cops too from both towns. My road is probably the best place to try out PESTLNC's technique. I'm getting better with identifying the cop cars at night. Gotta keep a heads up all the time on my road!

EDIT: PESTLNC, way to represent the HXs!
