Civic with no power steering.
Civic with no power steering.
This is probably on the wrong web site but hopefully someone might know. I have a 96 Honda Civic DX that I recently purchased from a friend. The only problem is it does not have power steering, so is there anyway if I take it into a shop they can add power steering?

yes indeed...I checked it out at one point, since I have a 97 DX with the same setup...it'll cost 1200-1300 to get it installed. Not worth it in my opinion, and you also make the car heavier
It sucks, but I hardly notice it now...Don't forget to post next time in the Previous Gen Civics forum!

If you are planning on putting a power plant in there , it would be better to NOT have any power steering, you will have better handling at higher speeds, It won't be so sensitive....
....But it will suck when making stopped turns..lol...
