Possible to recalibrate speedo/odometer?

I'm looking to get some 16" Rota Slipstreams soon. With 16" wheels I'd have to go with a 55 tire in order to keep a stock-sized wheel, which I'm not too thrilled about.

I'd be happy with 50's, but it'd throw my speedo off by about 4%. The main thing I care about is that I don't want to rack up a bunch of miles on the odometer that I didn't actually travel. Is there any way to re-calibrate the speedo?

ive heared it costs an arm and a leg, someone has to re-program the ecu so the computer reads the correct rotation/speed of the wheels in relation to the speed of the car

Yeah it is expensive if you have Honda re-calibrate it.. you can get a JET ecu upgrade if you have your car modded up. They will fix you speedometer if you telll them your wheel and tire size. They will also take your rev limiter out too. Here's some FAQ from JET.com.

say, for instance, you are traveling 100 mph. a 4% difference would be the equivalent of 4 mph. you are actually travelling at 96mph as opposed to 100mph. big whoop.

now go get drunk: it should justify the whining.
