Speedometer recalibration?
Has anyone had their speedometers recalibrated after switching to a non-stock tire size? My local Honda dealer said it could be done, though he was pretty vague - something about that it depends on what kind of connection the car has, and nothing to do with the VIN. For cable-driven speedos you just change the gear, and I've seen products to reflash the computer to compensate for non-stock tire sizes, though these are usually for domestics. Has anyone had this done? Thanks all.

Honda is right... it can be done, but they want to charge you your first born to do it. Just get a tire size within 1 or 2% and leave it alone. There's a tire size for every size rim that is almost or exactly the same as stock, there's no reason to reprogram the computer for it.
