Problems after replacing oil pan
Problems after replacing oil pan
Hey, I have a 98 civic EX and had a pretty bad engine oil leak. I replaced the oil pan which involved me taking off the exhaust manifold to get access to the pan screws. My exhaust harness behind the catalytic converter was broken so when I removed the manifold the cat dropped about a foot and the o2 sensor there snapped free from the harness. I thought I could just tape it since it looked like only the clip was broken. I put everything back together and car started up fine, but I have a check engine light and when I went to read it my obd sensor no longer connects to the port? I tested the sensor itself in another vehicle and it works fine it doesn’t recognize my car. What could I have done to it that would cause my obd sensor to fail at the exact time my oil pan was changed? I am pretty sure the secondary 02 sensor must have broken a pin when it fell so that would explain the CEL, but not reading the obd scanner is odd, I replaced the fuse thatis connected to it but nothing changed. Any tips?
