New sump has no oil level sensor. Can I get round this?

Hi guys. So I've got a hair line crack in my sump. I've bought a new sump after searching the web for hours and the new sump doesnt have the part where the oil level sensor goes. When I unplug the oil level sensor of course I get a warning light on my dash. I know there will be oil in the new sump however I was wondering if there was a way I could trick the car into knowing the same without a level sensor? There is three wires on the plug I have already tried bridging them but only more fault codes appeared which I had to remove. Any help would be appreciated I don't really want to fork out for a new sump if I can get round this.
