2008 civic si goes into limp mode and bogs at 4000 rpm’s

Hello, I have been having this issue for a little bit of time. Checked my oil and it was almost bone dry after 3000 kms which i found very strange. Did a full oil change because there was no sense just topping it up and the problem still happened. So new oil was not the trick in this case. Got the code P2646 for my engine light if that helps anyone figure it out. It’s in honda right now because my harmonic balancer snapped along with the belt getting chewed up so I don’t have it right now but should by end of the week or early next week. Hoping to figure out how to fix the problem before then so I have an idea.

So just to clarify the car is a

got 230,000 kms
I am in atlantic canada
Thank you.

First step in the troubleshooting, check oil level. Do you have an oil leak?

Yes as stated i noticed it was dry so i did a full oil change, haven’t had the car back since to check if it is still full because the belt blew.

You can look at troubleshooting if you want to get a head start. Nothing we can really do until you've got the car back though.

If you lost that much oil over 3k km, there should be a very noticeable oil leak that needs addressed.
