car continues running with key to Off
Hello,
I have recently been having an issue where my car continues running with the key turned to Off. It as though I have not turned the key (engine runs, etc.). What can cause this issue? Thank you All,

This shows how little I know about the ignition system, I'm sure, but would a faulty ignition switch not keep my car from starting? Thanks again All,

It depends on why it's faulty. Worn contacts, for example, will stop it from functioning. It sounds like there's a short somewhere which keeps giving the ignition power, which may explain why the car continues to run.

OK, I think that makes sense to me. Is there a particular wire that I could hook up to a kill switch if I have difficulty sorting out where the short is?

You can get a new switch for pretty cheap.
Do some testing before throwing parts at it though

Fair enough guys. I think I get pretty apprehensive about electrical issues. I will take a voltmeter out to the garage, though, and see what I can find out. Thanks.
