Lower torque Motor mount help please!!!!

Hello, I need help please on how to pull the long 17mm rusted bolt,, ,, if you look at the pictures the top nut broke loose ,, can’t believe Honda only gave that top nut 3 tack welds.. I broke it with a breaker bar and now the nut is out but the bolt is seized in mount hole ,, it spins because the center rubber of the mount is broke and the bolt is seized stuck in the mounts metal sleeve… Anyone please give me an idea on how to free the bolt. I can’t bang it out from the top because of no room to even get a hammer or punch.. Has this happened to anyone on here? Please someone give me a idea.. thanks in advance

Re: Lower torque Motor mount help please!!!!

I'd be surprised if you get that bolt out in one piece. You will likely have to cut off the end and the head, then replace it when installing the new brace.

What Tap to chase nut threads

On my 07 Honda Civic EX I am replacing the driver side lower control arm, I had to cut out the 14x94 bolt because the bolt was seized in the control arm bushing hole.. I did some damage to the threads on the nut that welded to the cars frame where the 14x94 bolt screws in.. If anyone here knows what Tap do I need to clean and chase the threads on that nut where the 14x94 bolt screws in… thanks in advance…

Re: What Tap to chase nut threads

Pretty sure it'll be an m14-1.5, but if it still threads without actually changing the thread pitch/removing too much material, I guess a 9/16-18 will work. Everything on these cars are metric

Re: Lower torque Motor mount help please!!!!

not a DIY article, rather a question, so merged the tap thread into your own thread of motor mount. (Will make clear what you are trying to tap anyway)
DIY section is for members posting how they solved the problem. Questions do not belong there.
Makes harder to find good articles later.

Re: Lower torque Motor mount help please!!!!

Someone please help. Same thing just happened. The nut on top broke off sub frame. The bolt spins but I think it’s rusted into the metal ring of the mount. It just spins and spins but doesn’t come out.

Is the nut inside the subframe or is it accessible?

The bolt can't be removed because it's stuck inside the mount
