Honda Civic Pro (wagon/shuttle) thoughts - new user

Hi everyone,

Been looking at this 1995 Civic Pro EY4, basically wagon/shuttle that has recently been imported. I am wanting to get into the scene, so don't know too much right now.

It doesn't have any info on the engine or any mods to it. Manual, 118k miles and seems super clean. I know it's a D15B, I'm assuming its non-vtec but I can't tell from this one photo.

I'd like you to take a look at this photo of the engine, tell me what you see and your opinions please. Was wondering, theoretically of course, if it might be a reliable daily in its current form.

Thanks in advance!

It’s probably something like a D15B3. Definitely non-vtec. It’ll be reliable so long as it’s maintained. More than likely due a timing belt as well.

Yeah seems about right from what I have seen. No doubt it'll be infinitely more reliable than my VRS which is only about 18 years younger.
