Mechanical Problems/Vehicle Issues and Fix-it ForumIf you've got a problem you just can't figure out, a noise you can't diagnose, or a Check Engine Light that won't go away, ask about it here!
So I'm pretty new to hondas I recently bought my first honda civic and I couldn't be normal so I just had to get a DelSol Si, me being the cheap-*** I am, I decided to get the cheapest one I could find ($800) and I plan to restore it to its former glory. I always like a good challenge when it comes to my vehicles but I am clueless as this honda is a completely new platform to me and I'm starting from square one. This car needs just about everything you can think of but what it needs most is an engine rebuild and I have no idea what parts to use, I plan to run about 10lbs of boost on it when I'm done building it, and right now the engine is blowing coolant out its *** so I am a long haul away from doing that. (i will post photos of what the car looked like when I picked it up and what it looks like right now) Before Before Fenders and bumper installed I also resprayed the whole body (except the new fenders) with 1 can of rattle can flat black from Walmart. lol
Your budget gonna be the biggest thing here. If that was my car, I'd throw it together as cheaply as reasonably possible. B18B swap with a turbo can make in excess of 250whp pretty reliably.
If you feel really adventurous, an f/h hybrid would be rowdy.

I plan to figure out what I want then just save up to that budget mark, right now I just want to get rid of the colant leak and maybe change some of the internals inside of it. So I'm looking for what gasket sets and parts are good to use.
