Hi Guys, been diagnosing this civic of mine for week now.
The problem is car have a crank but cannot run the engine. Sounds like to fuel going in,
History:
Car sudden stall middle of the road.
What I did so far;
Replace new car batt. (saw red indicator of the batt, so dicided to replace it)
Replace new fuel pre strainer (suspect to do with the fuel hard to pass)
After reading lots of forum, I came to follow the fuel pump voltages.
Multimeter reads at battery poles at 11.95v
Main Fuse box for the fuel pump relay (Mitsuba 7002) slot reads 11.07v (when key turn to on)
Under the dash fuel pump relay (Mitsuba 7003) slot reads 11.53v
Fuel pump line, the green and black going to connect the fuel filter assy reads 11.74v (during prime)
Fuel pump line, the green and black going to connect the fuel filter assy reads 9.30v (during cranking)
Just cranking and car won't start.
What is the problem giving me this 9.30v?
Anyone encountered this kind of problem?
Sounds like normal voltage drop due to the huge load of the starter.
Have any fault codes? Does the green key symbol in the cluster come on with the ignition, then go out a few seconds later?
Also, do you hear the fuel pump running during that 2 seconds after the key it turned on?
No codes appears. So clean.
Yes, the green key symbol is ok. I tried to used both original keys.
Yes, prime is good. I detatached the fuel line fuel flows during prime and cranking.
Think I'll change my fuel filter first.
Then I saw this two models on the store. I don't know which filter is right for Honda Civic 2008 1.8L automatic.
Anyone know what is the fuel filter model for civic fd? Thanks
