Thank you Colin42, but Wikipedia names the R16A engine, but does not specify the differences between R16A-1 and R16A-2. It only says R16A.
Or does the R16A1 engine correspond to 2007 Civic and the R16A2 to 2012 Civic? Wikipedia does not specify difference between R16A1 and R16A2, not to mention R16B.
I can also see that the 9th. gen. Civic also uses R16A1 engines.
Other sources that I have consulted say that the difference may be due to its place of manufacture: american with aluminum block and japanese with iron block.
I would like to know if the R16A2 engines correspond to the 8th. gen. Civic. And if this is true, what are the physical differences between the R16A1 and R16A2 engines? or if in truth the difference is only due to its place of manufacture.
