Hello .. I知 in need of a opinion, I知 new to the Honda world.. Recently I purchased a 2007 Honda Civic EX . Has a check engine light on so I scanned it with my scanner and got only one code P0128.. so I drained the radiator replaced the Thermostat, I did put the new thermostat on exactly how the old one was. I topped off the radiator , started up the car and turned on the heat, I did leave the cap off the radiator and kept pouring in antifreeze as i was watching it. After about 20 minutes I知 getting heat inside car and the top thermostat housing hose is hot but the hose on bottom is still cold🤷🏽‍♂️.. and 30 minutes go by and still nothing. The temperature gauge on dash is at half , then all of sudden antifreeze starts bubbling up out of the radiator cap and still the bottom hose is cold, thermostat not opening and fans never turned on until I hit the a/c button then the fans turn on.. I知 at a standstill now.. Anyone can help with some knowledge please.. I think it could either be coolant temperature sensor by the thermostat housing,or the other sensor at the bottom of the radiator which is for the fans I think.. I知 just hoping it痴 not the water pump please.... PLEASE HELP ME SOMEONE.. Thanks in advance

Yea I installed a OE Genuine Honda 19301-RNA-315 Thermostat.. bought it on Amazon Prime

put it on water, heat it and see if it open at temperature
not sure how much OE stuff in Amazon is...

you have a mechanical problem and it is in the engine, moving your thread to the proper section

All the reviews were 5 star I read on this thermostat on Amazon Prime ... I知 gona take it out and boil it to see and if it doesn稚 open I知 sending it back..But I知 still gona change both Temperature sensors too just Incase ... the car only has 149,000 miles and for $300 I paid for the car , idc I知 gona find the problem and hopefully someone here can help me out on advice on do and don稚 do on Honda痴.. thanks

I took out thermostat and put both the new thermostat and the old thermostat on the stove in water and the old one opened up wayyyy before the new one opened.. idk

Try manually pushing the valve open with your hands? It should spring back into place

and if that does not work, you might need to find a real OE one. Amazon reviews are not accurate

im not even gona mess with it nomore.. I知 sending it back to Amazon.. I called Honda dealership and ordered a original new one.. I値l pick it up tomorrow.. thanks for the help ..
