So I have a 2005 Honda Civic EX. There’s a noise in it that bothers me quite a bit. It’s like a humming/buzzing sound coming from the front of the vehicle and sounds like to the left of the car... when I accelerate, it progressively gets louder and higher in pitch. It continues to hum/buzz when I let go of the throttle, so I don’t think it’s anything to do with the engine or tranny considering the RPMs themselves don’t change the sound... any help...?

Some things you can try:

• Swap tires and see if the noise moves.
• With front of the car off the ground can you hear the noise by spinning the tire.
• Pull on the wheel that is making the noise and see if it has any play. Twist the wheel (left arm push forward, right arm pull back)

Wheel bearing could be going bad.
