multiporpose relay bypass
i think mine is bad. if i apply 12v to the fuel pump it works fine. is this what this relay runs and how do i bypass it. new one is very expensive i also need a wiper motor for the front the old one got water in it as it sat for 15 yrs and broke up. what other years will fit this 1980 civic sw.?

found out it is called the fuel pump cutoff relay and i found my shop manual a little worse for the wear and read about hooking the two black and white wires together and if your pump works with the key on replace the relay. what other year hondas have this relay?

Depending on the construction of the original relay, it may (or may not) be a simple process to adapt a commonly available relay to do the job.
Any idea what's inside the original part?
