2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe Firewall

Ok... I'm gonna be the FNG here and ask but I cannot find an aswer to this anywhere ! I'm trying to run speaker wire from my trunk to my battery and I cannot find a hole in my firewall anywhere. I've looked at some posts/diagrams on here for other models of Hondas and tried to use those, but they don't apply.... I need help

Grommet just above the gas pedal assembly? Google found this post with pics:

Fergawdsakes use a fuse at the battery, it really sucks watching your car burn to the ground because of an oversight like that.

I've tried locating this one using this exact post.... lol Do I need to remove the carpet, or the fluffy stuff around the gas pedal?

Re: 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe Firewall

It looks like you would pull down the carpet and there would either be a hole leading to the plug or there might be slits cut in the pad where the plug is and you pick out the padding at the cuts.

It looks like where a gas pedal cable would pass through if the car didn't have throttle-by-wire.

Here's another thread about installing an amp wire I found
http://www.8thcivic.com/forums/i-c-e...wire-thru.html

Looks like this one is run through where the hood release cable goes.

Re: 2009 Honda Civic EX Coupe Firewall

In my 2006 there was a hole only visible from the engine side.
Used a straightened out coat-hanger to punch through the carpet to see where it was on the inside.

The hole I found was a good fit for 4 gauge.
I dunno if you could fit 2 gauge in it or not, not sure what size wire you need.

I don't know how different then 2009 is, but here are the pictures from my 2006:
