Next Civic Coupe spy photos
They caught the next Civic prototype in Mojave.

It looks pretty faithful to the concept... overall it has serious potential IMO

im excited for this, im stopping all progress on my EM2 to pay it off to get one of the 10th Gens. Now it is just if im able to hold out till the Type R in 2017/18 and if it isnt too drastically more expensive than the EX/SI models.
Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
"The price of this new civic would range from $45,000 to $55,000 or around £30,000"
Sorry, I don't think a reasonable price is in the cards for the Type-R...
Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
That's pure speculation and I think wrong at that. The Type R is about $12K more than the Focus ST in the UK. if you use that conversion it comes out to be about $35K for the Type R in the US since the Focus ST starts at about $24K.
Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
35k isn't to bad but now you are in AWD WRX territory.
I'm curious to see the car and driver review/comparison of the type
I would love to hear top gears thoughts but...yea.

I don't know if I could bring myself to watch TG without Clarkson. I heard all kinds of different rumours about what they are going to do now.
At any rate they wouldn't review the Civic anyway. I don't know what it is but they have nothing good or bad to say about Honda's period. The last one they reviewed was in something like their 3rd season and a type-R. I can only imagine they'll review the new type-R as well.
I'd buy this car though...if I could...skip over 8th and 9th gens

Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
Yea 45k to 55k for the Type R would be insane, thats like srt8 challengers, cheap porsches, and well beyond the realm of wrx stis, and evos. Honda would never get away with that. 35k is still kinda steep for me im hoping for around the 28k-30k mark considering most SIs are about 23k with std features, but then again it comes with the interior, new engine, lsd, blah blah so we will see.
Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
True but the new Type R test car ran a pretty sick Nurburgring time so I'm very interested..
especially if it looks like this!

The rear render is just as nice but the front ...hubba

When though. When is a new Civic - any Civic - going to be announced or available? I don't think it's a given that the new Civic will be a 2016 and available this falll, even an SI. It might be a 2017 coming out next spring/summer.

Re: Next Civic Coupe spy photos
LED DRLs FTW !!!!!
It will be coming out in the fall I'd guess, on schedule.
Most all of the stuff from the concepts will never make it to production.
Cant wait to see them 1st hand.
