It's P, R, N, D, D3, and 2. Maybe.
There is a light bulb underneath the letter plate next to the shifter lever. You probably have to pull the console up to reach it.

I have taken apart a zillion different things. I have probably done this before to a car like yours.
I have no idea if it will be easy for you, but it is a cakewalk for me.
I would think an average Joe can change that bulb in an hour or less, if they have the right bulb ahead of time. And have instructions, if they aren't mechanically inclined.

IIRC there are 2 smaller trim parts that lift off, then the larger panel clips out. The bulb is on drives side and 1/4 turn to release socket. Bulb pulls straight out and is a common #74 bulb.

Hey, I wanted to thank everyone for the replies! Tonight I finally got this done it was a slight pain in the *** though. A buddy of mine gave me this link it worked great! ( http://www.ledautomotive.com/guide.php?id_cms=35 )
The problem I had was when i got the bulb number 74 it was slightly too big, like the light would flash on and stuff so I pried the prongs along the side more so the connection would stay good and some how my brother managed to keep it in the notch thing! and then a new problem! when I went to plug it back into the plastic circle it kept knocking off, I got tired of it and we just drilled through the other side for more room for the slightly bigger bulb and now it works again!
