2010 low rumble at idle

ok searched for 2 hours for ideas...no luck, so posting up a thread.

daughter has a 2010 civic ex auto with 14,500 miles.

when she pulls in the attached garage the house rumbles at a low frequency. dishes rattle from the rumble on occasion. some tailpipe sputter but not silly, excessive sputter. kind of what you would expect with only 4 cyl pushing air. 2010 accord and older odysee no rumble issues....and the accord gets about the same mileage as her civic..around 22 mpg (suburban driving) or so and imho that is bad for civic.
recent starting issues cropping up too. i have yet to witness so just starting that circus.
dealer says no codes...no problems. i'd swear a plug is missing so thats what i'm a gonna do. any ideas??? thanks, mike

Re: 2010 low rumble at idle

Don't touch the plugs. Those are 100,000 mile plugs.
The car is under warranty, right? Don't touch anything.
If it really runs bad, the check engine light will let you know.

See if someone left the oil cap off. The engine makes a hell of a lot of noise if someone leaves that off.

Compare it to another identical car before you start thinking something is wrong.

The harmonics of your house just may not agree with the car.

22 MPG? The kid has a lead foot.

Re: 2010 low rumble at idle

My 2010s tailpipe buzzes quite a bit at idle.

It also has an engine idle that I have never seen in 25 year of owning these things. During cold weather it is pretty smooth (tailpipe always buzzes) but during the summer when the idle is lower it has a vibration almost like a miss... but i'm quite certain it is not.

lol... i'll have to have a talk with lead foot.

i will heed the advice and leave plugs alone and check oil cap.
car runs smooth and accelerates good...no missing or hiccups.

thanks again for taking the time to respond.
