TPMS light will cause inspection fail?

If any sensor was replaced, it must be "learned" to the car.
The system does not automatically learn a new sensor by itself.

Each sensor has a unique ID#, and the TPMS system holds 4 ID numbers in memory.
If you have a sensor on the car that is not stored in memory, it will turn the light on.

The light will return in about 20 miles if a sensor has failed or if a sensor was not recognized by the system.

i didnt checnge anything, i just cleared a TPMS light and am wondering if that clear will interfere with my NYS inspection.

I know that if you disconnect the battery you drive a bit to get the ECU READY.

so does a TpMS reset make the ECU not READY?

So why was the light on? What code(s) did it have?

I don't know what your rules are.

This is for OBD2 readiness monitors. Powertrain only.

TPMS is not subject to the same rules and does not follow the same.

didnt have time to to get an inspection, but the TPMS light never came back. there was a lot of info but nothing worth remembering. I wast going to pay for that to get fixed anyways. code cleared and all is good!
