2005 Civic overheating, no fan, no heat
2005 Civic overheating, no fan, no heat
My daughters car started overheating last night at midnight. When I drove the rest of the way home I noticed the fan was not kicking on and would over heat within just a few minutes. The first time I drove it about 2 miles and turned the heat on. It was very hot air. Then I pulled over to let the engine cool. Each segment there after the heat would not come through, just cold air. I check the fuses and coolant level and no issues. The coolant has not been messed with in the last year. Any ideas?

start with a new honda thermostat, then if the overheating stops but the fan still wont come on, try a new fan sensor. im pretty sure thermostat isnt opening enough and this is causing you not to get any coolant going to the radiator.

I agree with him I would flush it and put a new thermostat in and make sure you bleed it when you are done. I would check your fans first unplug them and use jumper wires and connect to the battery. If they work then check the fan relays in the fuse box under the hood and then the fan switch
