Door wont open from inside
Door wont open from inside
So yesterday I replaced my drivers side door actuator on my 04 Civic Ex. When I put everything back together I realized that the door would not open from the inside. I double checked all the connections from the inside handle to the actual lock assembly and it looks fine.
The only thing I can think of is that I had some trouble removing the rod that ran from the lock assembly to the exterior handle, so I gave up and replaced the actuator with the rod still connected. Maybe something got bent? Anyone have any ideas?
Any help is appreciated!

Re: Door wont open from inside
Will it open when you grab the linkage (that hooks into the inside handle) and pull it forward manually ??
Is the tension when pulling that linkage too tight or too loose ?? Is the movement of the linkage making it all the way to the latch ??

Re: Door wont open from inside
I found the problem. One of the door lock assembly pieces came apart while I was putting it back together and when I went to put that piece back on I put it on the wrong side of the plastic washer. Its all fixed now. Thanks for the help!
