hey everyone.

i have an '09 si and i want to put some illumination kits in it. does anyone know of a good place to buy these?

Honda makes interior illumination kits, but i would personally go to ebay and find the least expensive LED kit you can find. It's nothing more than a small circuit board, some wiring and a switch so the only thing that will differentiate the kits from one another is the number of LEDS (light output).

got mine from www.handaaccessories.com which is one of the best sites for oem parts. but if you are hoping for a super bright light, you will be disappointed. these have two dim smt leds per pod (blue) and they are about as bright as the dash lights. good if you want something that will plug into the factory wiring without problem and give a bit of extra light on the floors. if you want to make your own, i have the oem illumination switch and trim i can sell you. i ended up not using it and wiring the led pods to the dash light circuit so they always come on.

I'm too interested in adding some lights.....how hard is it to wire them into the dash light circuit?

pretty easy. leds are low power and usually you can get away tapping the existing power wire where it reaches one of the instrument panels. i know on the older civics the red/blk wire was dash light power. i think its the same for 06+ civic.
