Permanently disable alarm
Permanently disable alarm
I just got an 08 honda civic and it drives me crazy. I hate that the doors lock automatically and then don't unlock when you pull on the handle from the inside. I constantly forget that I have to manually unlock all of the doors when I never manually locked them in the first place. I live in an area where I would be absolutely fine just leaving everything unlocked (and generally do). I hate that when I try and open the door when it is locked it sometimes sets off the alarm. Tonight I reached in through the open window and unlocked the doors and, of course, the alarm started going off.
The most annoying thing to me is the stupid alarm. Is there some way to just disable it entirely?
I'm so frustrated with this car...

Re: Permanently disable alarm
Can't you just simply re-program the system to not auto lock ??
I love the 8th gen alarm, can open the trunk with a key, lock car & set alarm from passenger side when parking.
