2004 LX Brake Pedal POP

Anyone else experience this issue?

My car is a 2004 LX with a manual transmission. When the brake pedal is pressed, after about an 1inch of travel it pops. This pop is felt directly through the pedal. This happens while the car is stopped or moving. I confirmed this is definately not the brake light switch, as the pop itself is coming from the pedal assembly or directly behind the firewall. The brakes seem to work fine otherwise, but the pop is extremely annoying.

Rotors are not warped, pads bad plenty of material left on them, rear drums appear to grab after about 0.5-1 turn (With the rear wheels suspended).

Any ideas?

one pop is normal when you first press the brakes, but if it keeps doing it everytime you press it, theres a problem.
