Hood Rattles! HELP!!
sup guys well i having problem with my hood rattling. just after 16,300+ in 7 months my hood starts to rattle alot i didnt have this problem b4. whenever it's in park, i barely touch the brake pedals starts to rattle again.. do you have any solutions i can stop preventing my hood to stop rattling. My hood is shut of course.. it's very annoying.. please help thanks!

Rep Power: 0 Check out the rubber stoppers on the hood/on the frame under the hood, see if you are missing those or not. If you cant find them, let me know, I will take a pic of some on my car. You also might want to check out to see where it is rattling. Check the bolts on the hinges, also the latch.

You might want to check the torque on the bolts holding on the hood. They might've become loose over time, bumps, etc. I don't see how in only 16k miles, but who knows. Stranger things have happened.

Rep Power: 0 I had the same problem when some one jumped on my hood, it broke the joints holding the hood to the frame. It rattles when ever the tac drops below 900. Luckily i am getting a new hood soon so this should fix the problem.
Do u have an itnake[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]Cuz my AEM intake was once loose before and used to rattle the hell out of the hood. I had to push it down hella i never took the time to do that but that fixed the rattle[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]
