I have 2004 civic ex. I am having a problem with coolant rising and being pushed threw my overflow tank. I have done a lot of looking online and pretty much all signs are leading to a failed head gasket, but the problem is we did that coolant exhaust test where the fluid will turn a different color if exhaust gases are present in the coolant, and it showed that the coolant is fine. So I have replaced the rad cap and the t.stat. and I am still having the same problem. I just wish I knew for sure that the head gasket is bad before I do all that work, If anyone has any ideas please share.

Is there coolant in the oil or vise versa??

Nope everything looks good. One thing I am noticing is that the inside car temp gauge shows the vehicle getting up to temp where it should be, but the cooling fans only come on when the a/c is put on. If I turn it off and sit at an idle in the parking lot and rev the engine the cooling fans just will not come on. Is that normal.
