Loud Propeller Noise 2005 Civic
Loud Propeller Noise 2005 Civic
I apologize if this has been asked before, I performed some searches and couldn't pin it down based on my experience. . .
I have an ongoing sound in the front driver side of my 2005 Civic that almost sounds like a propeller. It started two months ago, as I hit approx 30, it starts getting louder and slows down as I slow down. I saw some other posts but wasn't sure what was wrong. Based on others may be my bearings. My car has 58,000 miles and this sound is a bit annoying. Not the engine b/c I release the clutch and throw it in neutral and the sound is still there. Happens when I accelerate and from about 30 MPH +
Any ideas? Is it the wheel bearings?
Any info would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris.

Re: Loud Propeller Noise 2005 Civic
Just wanted to add, I just changed my tires (original at 57,000) and I saw other posts with the same sound at higher miles. Understanding other drivers have gotten more, why would my bearings go at 57+K? Is that normal? OR What can I do to not have to replace whatever every 60K?
