Oil Change..?

This is a simple question that everyone should know.. except I don't know. It's been 10k since an oil change, oil level is ok- just haven't had it changed it for 10k.

What's the recommended millage I should go before changing my oil? And any suggestions on if I should be using synthetic oil?

Re: Oil Change..?

Your filter will clog up after 5k regardless of oil state. Just do oil changes every 3k is what I would recomend. I work at an oil shop. Synthetic is better and I use it because I am **** about my car but it isnt necessary. Lots of people here stand behind synthetic oil though. Also I would recomend Mobil 1. Otherwise conventional oil is ok. But like I said every 3000k. Petroleum by products are often the causes of engine problems for people who dont change there oil frequently. Not the level.
