Hi POQbum, I am experiencing similar problem you had: My 05 Civic LX doesn't want to stay in "D" after shifting from N.
My problem is kind of come-and-go. When I shift to D, it D doesn't lit with poor acceleration. When I step on gas more, D lit up with normal acceleration.
I am considering flushing my ATF like you did too. Thank you for your good posts.

I wonder, in your case, did it start with come-and-go problem, or it suddenly happened one day? Thank you.
