rear section exhausts....

im talkin about just the rear section exhaust that they sell that just bolts into place....should you install it just like that without changing the stock piping?....or should you go to a shop that can do that......like you know when people get mufflers tey have to weld it on.....i dunno if im makin any sense...hehe....i just wanna know if its better to get a rear section or a muffler?....thanks

if u wanna do 1 or the other, do the rear section, but i would get thefullcat back...

IF it is a axle back muffler direct bolt on, you don't have to do any welding. It replaces the OEM muffler section. You can even DIY[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/IMG]

kool....but what about the piping...wouldnt it be better performance wise to replace the piping with 2 1/2 or whatever?,,,,thanks

nope, stick with the stock piping and you'll be fine... larger diameter piping is good for sound and for high rpm runs, but you'll lose a bit of low end grunt with larger diameter piping

My axel back was about a 10 minute job... used same rubber hangers and bolts.

i am in the same postion as VINO...i dont know if i should do 2.25 custom mid pipe or leave it the way it is with the stock piping
i am getting a Mugen Twin loop muffler...so should i do the 2.25 custom mid pipe or dont touch the pipeing at all???

That's what I did; I replaced the stock pipe with one 2" in diameter and my cat back pipe + muffler work great. I had the pipe welded onto the downpipe and the muffler welded as well. What I plan to do next is leave the pipe and get a nice brand muffler like Apexi or RS*R GT II, we'll see...
2" diameter might be too small though, so I might just change that as well.
