Whirring Noise from car
Alright....here it goes:
I got my cd player relocated to a new spot, and whenever I turn on my cd player auxillary to listen to DVD audio *watch movies*it makes a weird noise *like a very light static*. When I speed up and turn up the sound, the static noise grows louder as does a whirring noise. I talked to the installer and he says that all aftermarket cd players make the static noise, which I'm not sure is true since I never listened to it through anything other than CD or the FM radio. Can anyone help me with this? I hope I didn't confuse you guys too much. Thanx.

Or it could be that you could've just grounded the dvd player to a non-isolated ground and what you are getting is alternator whine.
Check your grounds, connections, on EVERYTHING that is part of the system.

Or you could just leave it whining and tell whoever rides with you that its a SC! (j/k)
I think ur problem is that ur ruinning the power cable and RCA cable directly next to each other...seperate the cables, for example. Run the power cable on one side of the car and the RCA on the other side.
yea listen to 1sickcivic he knows what hes talking about. My car had the same problem so I rewired it myself and ran the power wire on one side of my car and the power wire on the other side it works great now.
<< If all of the stuff above doesn't work, then go to Radio Shack and buy a groundloop isolater for each RCA cable. That will get rid of the noise. >>
Yup he's right. The electric noise from the power wire will pass though the RCA cables and be interpreted as noise. If you seperate them, the noise will stop. However, some times the altenator will emit noise that will also pass though the Head Unit or the RCA cables. To get rid of this noise, use have to use a Ground-Loop Isolator. It will absorb the ground loops noise and give you a clear signal.
