Hey guys!!! i was worried about putting suspension springs/struts on my 02 lx cupe because i have 215/40/18 and i was wandering if anybody knows or have lowered their car with 18' on... how low can you go???? does the wheel touch somewhere when turn??? is it recommendable to do it???? what brand is the unexpensive best for the whole set??? THANK YOU VERY MUCH anything helps!!!
Re: help on puttin suspension on 18"
yes you can lower it. i think most people are very happy with tein s.techs and tokico blues. they are reasonably priced. i currently have ksport coilovers with the same size rim and tire with a 2'' drop with no rubbing. the rear barely doesnt rub, but they dont rub. there is no rubbing during u-turns either.

i put 18's on my 2000 ex and after 2 weeks they were rubbing in the back when i went up the driveway. and also in the front when i turned too much. i went with 17's after that.
I like my commute

I'm sorry but this sentence made me laugh
You will be fine with an ordinary drop anywhere from 1-2" ... I recommend a damper and spring combination for the cheapest setup.

what brand is the unexpensive best for the whole set???

mmmmmm... that sentence IS funny... sorry i was in a hurry and i couldnt think of how to say it!! hehe! THANKS for everybody's time by da way!!!
but one thing i wonder... if im gonna drop it 1.2' or so... i cant get springs, i'll have to get coilovers. ive never seen 1.2 drop springs all of them go for at least 1.4!!

Just for da record.... Coils and coilovers ARE the same, but coilovers and springs are not... Coils are adjustable springs are not chieffff!!!

I am running 18's with 215/40/18
I am dropped on neuspeed sports with tokico's and spc camber no rubbing issues at all...... I also have neuspeed front strut, rsx 19mm rear sway, and rear lower carbing bar
love it!
