I need ideas for RSX Seat Mod
I just got front and back rsx seats. The fronts have the airbags taken out. so now there is just a hole in the side of each seat. Does anyone have an idea on how to cover it up? I thought about getting a piece of leather stitched over em but that would involve me taking off the covers. Anyone know if they are difficult to get back on? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Re: I need ideas for RSX Seat Mod
i can picture this idea, now let me see if i can actually explain it.
get some wood, or something, and screw or glue it to the bottom of the hole there, as you're looking directly at it. build it up to about the same level as the top of the hole. then get a thin piece of wood, cut it so its about a half inch bigger than the hole on all sides, and wrap it in vinyl or leather.
now the tough part. i have no idea where you would get these, but they use them all over the place inside the trucks at work. its a screw, with a snap, like on clothing, around the head of it. then, there is a circular, button like piece that snaps on to cover the head of the screw and make it look finished. use those to screw the piece you covered in vinyl or leather to the wood or whatever you used to fill the hole.

Re: I need ideas for RSX Seat Mod
I know what you are trying to say, I will think about that one
I dont want to buy the whole airbag. too expensive for me not to be able to use it
look on CRSX for some seat airbags?
Re: I need ideas for RSX Seat Mod
Hey sniper, I just bought a set of similar front seats for my 05 LX and went ahead and installed them. Depending on your funds, JAS I'm having mine reupholstered and the place is going to install a piece of foam in the airbags place so that way when the back part is fitted no one would ever know the difference.
Re: I need ideas for RSX Seat Mod
well this is not about the airbag.. but before you install the seats, don't forget to use your stock tensioners (where the seat belt goes in when you buckle up on the side of the seat lol) so you wont have your SRS light on... oh and yes, take out your battery first. I learned this in a harddddd way.
