H/G Issue?

Yesterday i opened my hood and i noticed this "wet spot" on the exhaust manifold and a small collection of oil (nickel sized amount) on the water pump side of the valve cover, is it due to the headgasket? if not what can it be and should i worry about it, i have 112k miles & i havent changed the timing belt.

Re: H/G Issue?

ur head gasket is below the exaust manifold. i think the oil you found on exaust manifold could be a spill when ur changing oil, or leak from valve cover. The waterpump sits below the head gasket. Its most likely that the waterpump seal is bad, but it could be the head gasket.

Most likely if you spring a leak in H/G u have loss of power. Do u have that? if not its just probably the water pump seal, loose hoses.

Nope, no loss of power at all, i dont feel the car a bit different, if its the water pump seal then its getting changed in 2 weeks (changing timing belt). I think i was just having a b!tch moment lol, thx for ur feedback tho.
