Auto Transmission prob
ok heres the deal, I've done some searching and i cant find exactly this problem, just things around it like this guy http://www.7thgencivic.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=286280 but oh well thats besides the point. heres the deal for all u auto gurus
Like every time I start driving after my car has been sitting for a while like more than 6 hours when I start to drive it it seems the engine revs high before/after each shift. Like regardless of me braking or accelerating it does this, then after maybe 10 minutes of driving it all goes back to normal. Or if in that first 10minutes i gun the car it shifts ok. But yeah I don't know whats the deal can you all help.
i will try to make a video of my tachometer today so you can see it.

I have the same issue, only happens when cold. I talked with a old teacher of mine who was a honda tech and he said its normal. then I talked with my shop foreman at work and he said some o-rings or seals inside might be old and rotting. Not to sure on what to believe.
I believe it is normal. and if several other members also have the same thing, then I would see it as normal.
Now if it does it when warm and cold, then more then likely the clutches are slipping.

Same thing has been happening to my auto tranny whenever the car has been sitting and not warmed up... the same thing happens to me. I always change my transmission fluid every other oil change. So I guess its common for all 7thgen civics. Our transmissions suck... but thats why i'm Swapping it out
