dash light change

When I turn my lights on the right side where the gas gauge is is not illuminated very bright. I am thinking the bulb is burned out. Anyone out there know is it hard to replace it or can it be replaced at all. OR is this the way it is. It is a 2002 EX coupe. thanks.

There's a lot of conversation going on about LED conversions... Talk to Gearbox. As with almost any DIY, he knows the most of anyone on here.

I will talk to him. I just want to replace it, I am not going to convert it. Looks cool, though.

Is it alot of work. How much work is it to get the dash cluster out ?? Gearbox said couple of screws then pull like hell and the trim comes off then get the cluster out. I would convert if not too time consuming. (I got 9 month twins and a 5 yr old so time is precious!!) thanks.

you gotta know what youre doing and even then it takes a few days. you may break stuff and get mad lol. if you know nothing about leds and soldering and epoxy and drilling, maybe best not to do it.

Get the original bulbs from Honda if you plan to repair the cluster. It is my understanding #74 bulbs may not work.

You can always find some indiglo and just use those, since they don't use the factory lighting.

eh, they fit okay if you tape them good, but the inverters usually have problems or they flicker or who knows what else. nothing but trouble. EL is a very picky technology and if you go cheap they wont last long.

Sad thing is, that's the kind of thing people usually go cheap on, so they gain a terrible reputation.
