Which side of trunk should 12" sub go?
Soon, i'd like to make a custom sub box for one 12" sub for an 01 ex. Its going to go into the empty space on either side of the trunk. I was just wondering if one side was better than the other, so one side of the car won't be sitting lower than the other. With the 2 12's that are in the car now, and the huge box, its making the *** sag. And besides the fact that only one of the subs is working. Thanks
I am pretty sure it doesn't matter which side it goes on because the sag which you are conserned with would be there regardless and if you put the sub on one side id put the amp on the other to even it out but for sound it doesn't matter

Sound wise, it doesn't matter which side you pick. I have one sub in my car, and its directly in the middle. However my driver's side rear is lower than my passenger side rear. I would put it on the passenger side just to add a little more weight to that side. I'm not the only one that has this issue with the driver's side being lower. I've read on someone else's post, and notice this is the same on my ride.
If your lowered, you'll notice your driver's side is slightly lower. If you not lowered, you may not even notice. It really doesn't matter which side you put it on though.

Ive noticed a significant improvement to the way my car drives on freeway on-ramps based on how the weight is distributed.
when I am the only passenger in the car, adding more weight to my own side doesnt help me on those cloverleafs!
I have also noticed the car tracks more easily when the weight sits over the wheels rather than by the tail lights.
I have never noticed any sort of advantage or disadvantage to equipment location to the way the car drives at any other time. (other than cloverleaf freeway on-ramps.)
all qualititaive, no measurement, and all unverifiable. but for what its worth, they are my uneducated observations.

Well the car is dropped on eibach sportlines with koni's, but the only thing i have noticed, is that the rear is quite a bit lower than the front, but i expected that having the huge box in the trunk and not having put the spc camber kit on yet. So it looks like i might try it on the passenger side.

I would say put it on the passenger side to even out the weight with the driver. Overall on the out side I have no sag at all due to the two different springs I have on the car. Here is my set up... for more pics look at my gallery...

Tokico "blues" shocks/struts (front/rear) with Tein-S-Tech in the front (1.5"). The rear has the Tein-H-Tech springs (1"). Then with just the system (not to big of a system) the front tilts down a bit. Now if you put the passenger/system in the back it levels out, see the wheel gaps...
