C.v. Axle

ok, i think my c.v axle is bad, when i dont hit the gas or brakes andim just cruising, it makes a loud clicking noise and the noise slows down with the car, my friends told me its the c.v axle and i hear it from the front left but i dont know if i should replace both front c.v.axles or you just get one part and it replaces the front axle, i dont know anything about this part, can someone help me out and explain it to me and let me know how much i can expect to pay for a replacement?
thanks

Depends on where you get it from......probably pick one up from a salvage yard for ohh say 50-75 dollars......for a new one im not sure what you'd be looking at I dont dabble in new parts. BTW the is a huge difference between AT and MT on those things dont let a moron at a parts counter tell you otherwise
