What to do before puting turbo?
Well,
I'm about to make my car turbo and I have a question about what measurments should be taken to make sure that the engine's condition is appropiate to handle it:
First: The whole Short Block and head gasket have been replaced by Honda Dealership about 6 months ago because old block was blown (2 holes on cylinder wall on cyl #4 because of water going in from the CAI).
- Should I take off the valve cover and check the torque on the head bolts??
- They used a new head gasket, but I'm not sure if they used the 3 layer or the old one. Any recomendations?
- Should valve adjustment be checked too?
Don't know if any of this make sense to you, but I would like to know what should be checked on the engine before puting that turbo.

If Honda installed the HG, then the head should be to specs. If you are boosting, it may be a good idea to torque it to 3-4 lbs more than spec.
As far as the HG........OEM is fine.
How many miles are on your car??? If you know what you are doing, then you can check the valve lash.
