Did it die when you went threw a puddle? Mine did, and bamb took forever to start, then had white smoke and a loud *** ticking. Took it to the shop, they said i bent a few things in the engine and bassically needed a new one. So i opt'ed for the K20 instead. So yeah you could be screwed

take to mechanic immidieatly tomorrow. seriously. i would. and don't freak out, it could have just been vibrations of intake against other parts. tell how it goes, and good luck

better yet, throw back the factory air box as temporary until problem is fixed/solved.

goodluck. hope you didnt break any internals. iver heard stories of ppl dishing out major bucks because they damage a rod or piston was it? due to cold air intakes sucking in water

My car does that at certain psi of boost. Its running rich when my car does it. up to 8psi its fine, than on hotter days, higher boost makes that noise. BUt not even all the time, just occasionally.

Im not sure what it is in your car. But mine does a loud cracking noise, repeatedly. Drives just fine though.
