There is no cheap with suspension. If you choose GCs you will need shocks eventually, so be prepared to buy those. GCs with stock shocks will probably handle like crap depending on how low you go.

For $300 don't bother. What you'll end up with is a disaster and you'll end up spending more to fix it than you would if you just did it right the first time.

yeah, your right, can someone possibly give me a good setup thats is lower in price, ride quality aint that big of an issue... i would love some some Tein SS and 4way adjustable shocks but im poor. so i want something alittle more realistic. i want and LOW drop like 2.5 inch. i guess i def need new shocks and def camber kit.

yeah Teins are out of the question dont have over 1000 bucks to blow on coilovers. i dish out to much monthly for bills (and i got a gf lol) im think im gunna go with HP Blues and Ground Controls or maybe Drop Zones. what you think, this will get the shocks/coilovers/camber kit and be just about 1k...

i thought coilovers come with shocks... maybe not with GC (then it is not really coilover)???
btw, if you are not doing the install yourself, you will have to pay like 100 - 200 for that and then alignment which is like another 70 to 100.. try to get the lifetime alignment for a little more if possible
good luck!

If you are looking to improve handling of the car for minimal $$$ then don't buy springs. Get a set of Adjustible dampers (Tokico D-Spec, KYB AGX or Koni Yellow) Seriously, the car will handle better with a good set of dampers on the stock springs then it will with a set of performance springs on the Stock Dampers.

tokicos arent made for 2.5-3" drops, the max is 1.75" if im not mistaken.
and as everyone else has said, stocks will go fast, and dont waste $ on cheap crap.

why is it such a mistake to get springs first?
i had my goldlines installed with spc camber kit last year. my shocks are doin fine. i figured i would just let them crap out so that I HAVE TO change them. then i guess ill get inserts or go tien if ive got the $$$.

I think you'd be supprised how beat up and possibly blone your OEM dampers are after a year on lowering springs. I know I was (3 were completly blown and 1 was so weak it was funny).
but any way, Performance wise the reason its better to get dampers then springs is because 1. the car is under dampered from the factory (not to mention I've seen completely blown shocks on stock suspensions) 2. since dampers are the primary controller of how fast weight gets transfered around the chassis, not only do they influence handling, but braking and acceleration too. and 3. assuming you get adjustible dampers you can tune them to "override" the cars stock understeer tuning. You do this by setting them to create oversteer on corner entry that then will be caried through the rest of the turn (even though the springs/anti-roll bars settings are trying to make the car understeer).
So like I said, Your much better off handling wise to have a good set of dampers on Stock springs then you are with performance springs on Stock dampers.
