I put about 4.5. But I am turbod, and have extra lines and parts for oil to flow through. Stock is between 3.5-4.
4 quarts always worked good before i was turbod. it went right to the twist in the dipstick where it should be.

03 ex auto.
manual says: 3.7 qt and thats if its FULLY drained meaning to the point where the motor is flushed cleaned.
when i change my oil and oil filter, its about 3.5 or 3.6 in most cases.
remember, its always better to fill less cause if you overfill, you would have to remove the oil filter to take out the overfill amounts. so fill around 3.3 quarts and keep checking the dipstick. and the engine would suffer if you just turn it on for awhile while theres only 3.x quarts in there. just a tip

Why would you have to take off the filter? Just take out the drain plug. And I usually put 4 in. .3 qt is not going to affect it that much for me to justify having a small amount in a bottle sitting on a shelf.

yeah thats from the manual. don't drown your tranny. btw its for a dtick tranny not auto. i have no clue about autos. does your car still run after putting in 2.5/3? cause if its a stick it shoudln't run. if its an auto it shouldn't run either.

I'll checked the Honda Service Manual once I get home, but I am 100% sure its somewhere around 1.7 quarts.
well i put 3.7 qts. drain put in 3 1/2 then slowly our the rest put the cap on crank car let run for a minute then check for leaks and dipstick for right amount of oil. it should be right at the top hole on the dipstick. 3.7 if you are changing the oil filter at the same time. maybe like 3.5 without oil filter change, but i change the filter every time.

i put clean oil in the new filter. like 1/4 full of new oil in the filter that way the motor doesn't start up dry. well not all dry but you guys know what i mean. anyway it helps.
