stock strut mounting plate,need help

stock strut mounting plate,need help

hi, my stock upper spring seat plate on my 01 doesnt have any marking on it and i need to correct the position so my spring wont keep popping when the wheel is turning ,here is what i need to know....the half of the spring seat steel plate set directly on the top of the spring has a hump on it and which direction the hump shoud be facing ? i know the mounting plate (the one with 3 bolts) can only goes on one way. any help will be appreciated.

You dont have arrows on the upper spring seat? Like this:

say you do? i did correct the problem on the driver side but placing the end of the spring (the area actually seat on the plate) between the hump and the outside edge of the plate but however,i dont the same to my passenger side this morning and the problem still exist,only thing i havent finish is the 2 missing nuts which goes on the top of the mounting plate, i will keep it post.

PS. dang,thanks very much for those pics, i think i have those markings but never thought much about them,may be due to my age ,thanks again.

thanks again for the post, mine doesnt have an arrow on the upper spring seat plate but a small hole among the other 3 smaller ones for the rubber dimples,anyway, i done just that and the spring only pops once in a while and not as loud,i will wait a while until it sets in and go from there.thanks

No problem guys... glad I could help out. Those arrows are suppose to line up with the hole on the lower spring perch thats circled in red.
