installing new gauges

i just installed reverse indiglo gauges in my 2002 civic. it came with an on/off switch too. the only problem is that the gauges do not come on automatically when i turn my lights on. i have to turn on my lights, then switch the new gauges on. is there anything to make the gauges come on when i turn my lights on like normal?

yes there is..... i am assuming that you did not wire it properly...... there is a thread somewhere that tells you the proper wires to tap... i believe you connect the (+) wire to a green wire, and then the (-) wire you can ground anywhere on your car

^^make sure you look it up before you do it! i don't remember a green wire when i did mine??? but i may be wrong. just look it up.

so does your gauges come one if you have the lights off but you switch the gauges to the on position? if so you probably have them wired to a constant power wich is wrong...

i think you only need to wire to headlights (blue/red wire) and ground

Tap the power wire for the gauge face inverter to the red wire with black stripe, located on the blue (left when facing the dash) plug for the gauges. Ground where you can. Voila.
