neon kit wiring to headlights

Hey guys I got a interior neon kit and would like to wire it to my headlights so that if I turn my lights on, the neons willl turn on too. ANy ideas into this? Would the load be too much? (the neon kit uses a 5amp fuse). How would I go about tapping into the front (or rear) lights?

You just have to look for the wires. Honestly, tapping the parking lights would be safer imo. You want the red wire going into the turn signal bulb.

that's fine too and I agree it's even better/safer. Plus parking lights are on too when main headlights are on, right?

hmm I'd rather avoid relays since I've had diffuiculty finding one (finally found one at radio shach the thing was tiny and didn't know what to do with it :/). But a relay does make sense since I wouldn't have to strain the regular connection with the extra load.

Neons don't take up much power. I have sidemarkers wired to the parking signal lights, and they're more of a drain than the neons I had.

Splice away I guess. I don't know exactly how the tails are wired, but there should be a few wires. Don't you coupes have just a regular parking light on the SIDE of the tail? I think you do. Just tap the power of that one. It should only have power and ground wires.
