Taking out passenger airbag??
I searched and didn't find anything. Does anyone know how exactly to remove the passenger airbag? I'm wanting to install something in it's place. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.
Once you remove the glovebox, you simply need to unclip the wiring harness. It is on the left-hand side and is yellow. After that, there are 3 bolts to be removed from underneath. Once these bolts are off, you will simply push back on the assembly so that the three threaded prongs (that you removed the bolts from) will clear the bracket and the airbag will lift up and out.
I don't know if removing the airbag will have an impact once the car is started. I have removed mine twice, but with the battery disconnected...

Thanks for info. I'm going to either put my PS2 of some more gauges. I'll have the part on top of the dash where the airbag should come out raise up a little and install whatever there. I already have the passenger airbag disconnected....so I might as well take it out and do something with it.

They sure do! But if I don't have one, the passenger isn't either. Sorry! Like I said before also......I don't drive my car that much. So I'll take my chances. It's a GREAT idea!
