Question Removing Steering wheel cover

Im installing an OEM alarm system, and I need to take off the cover on the steering wheel column to mount the LED. I took out all 3 screws underneath it, and both the installation instructions and my Civic maintinence manual act like it's no biggy; just pry it off. Well, I can't get it. I sort of got the right side, but in trying to get both side off I heard LOT of cracking and what sounded like small pieces falling to the bottom cover. And the left side has not budged one inch. Any help please?

i heard theres some glue to it; maybe taking a razorknife and going along the seam would help?

NEVERMIND! I used a razorknife to cut away the glue that was there (i guess that's what it was...). Most of the clips broke, but after the install it all went back together OK. Hello OEM alarm system!
